you have
- always offer a
position description
- Be honest about the
amount of time position will require
- Never use guilt
tactics. Avoid the "Don't you care about Children"?
approach.
- Be enthusiastic and
sincere
- If a person cannot do
one task, see if there is another she/he can do.
- Get back to anyone
who expressed interest in volunteering within one week.
- Discover who in the
community shares a common interest or goal and explore ways to work
together.
- Recruit on the basis
of serving girls, not serving the needs of adults or the organization.
