JOB DESCRIPTION

                                                                POSITION SUMMARY

In partnership with membership manager, direct and coordinate the work of the service unit service team in order to develop and maintain Girl Scouting in the community and provide direct services to troops/groups and individual girl and adult members in compliance with Council Goals.

 ORGANIZATIONAL RELATIONSHIPS:

STAFF SUPPORT:                          Membership Manager                                                                     

TERM OF OFFICE:                          June 1 – May 31 (2 years) (your council could be different)

 PRINCIPAL DUTIES:

  • Ensure that compliance with the regulations governed by the following is met: GSUSA Policies, Standards
    and  Guidelines, GSSJC Policies and Operational Procedures, governmental and affiliated
    organization regulations and standards.

  • Organize the recruitment and retention of girls and adults to reach service unit membership goal.

  •  Develop and implement a yearly plan of work for the service unit with the assistant service unit manager(s),
    membership manager and with input from the service team and district manager.
